RIPOFF Salesman calls with manipulative script trying to initiate a consumers quik descision Bogus! Inflated prices! Lies!

The salesman called and said he had my credit card info on hand and was calling to send me the completion to a previous order of credit machine tape rolls. He talked quik and smooth. I asked if the order was scheduled, he said yes.

After the product arrived, which was way inflated in price anyway, we realized that we had never done business with them before and there was no way they could have our credit info.

I cancelled the order and sent back the product. When I talked to the secretary and asked for the specific credit info. Of which the salesman reffered to, she said the customer service department had that info and they would call me back.

When CS called back the rep immediately took an offensive tone asking why I had ordered the product if I didn't need it. I batted points back for a little while.

The thing that caught my attention though was the fact that he didn't have any specific info either, only my company name, and he said we had done business with them before. (not true) He said that the accounting dept. Had the specific credit info. Or our comp. BS!

He proceeded to say that I needed to reimburse them for their UPS shipping cost, $14.50, which I declined at this point due to the fishy nature of the whole thing. He also said that my initial conversation with the sales rep was taped.

I said "good, have your supervisor call me back after he has listened to it and heard the manipulative tactics his employee used".

He then said that his supervisor might not cut me as much slack as he on the return costs. He said his supervisor may charge a restocking fee on top of the shipping costs.

The supervisor called back at this point and again there were discrepancies in the story. He said they had no specific credit info. On hand. He also said all I needed to do was reimburse them $14.50 for the restocking cost. Wait a second... I thought the $14.50 was for UPS shipping costs.

I mentioned this to him and he started to fumble his words. He said he had combined the restocking and shipping costs. Then he said he was doing me the favor of not charging for the restocking. Huh?

And finally he said that they do record their sales calls to ensure company integrity but that my particular sales call had not been recorded. What!? B.S.

I concluded the conversation by telling him that I would not pay for anything. It's bad enough I had to pay the postage just to ship their products back to them.

Bottom Line. Bogus Bogus Bogus. Watch out.
