Corp. Rip-off! They force you to pay yearly plan fee even when you cancel before the new year starts

Last year when the renewal was forced I said I would do one more year, but I must have a reminder to decide for the next renewal. When my bill arrive on the 30th of July it included the plan fee again, I called to say no and was informed that I must pay the $66.47 fee plus taxes on it even though I canceled the service. I was informed it is a non refundable service fee. How is that possible when I canceled before the new year of the
account started? We as consumers need to unite to stop this forced renewal of services.
