Only $1 for instant Credit Report

I live on SSD & SSI and am trying to move from Reno to Phoenix. I surfed a website offering help finding an affordable home but they required me to obtain a One-Time Only Credit Report for Only $1 from scoresense.com.

At no time did I see any mention of an automatic $29.95 enrollment fee after 7 days nor did they bother to bill me until nearly three weeks had passed late Friday night, early Saturday morning, when I supect they thought I wouldn't notice or complain until the bank reopened following week.

When I called their customer service, the first thing I noticed is they had a special select number to press for people who want to cancel their membership. I selected customer billing after I was disconnected two times. The person at the other end told me there were numerous references to an automatic $29.95 membership fee all throughout the website but since I did not finish registering beyond what was necessary for the One-Time $1 Credit Report, I did not in fact sign up for any membership and specifically avoided navigating any further when it became clear they wanted me to sign up for a service I neither need nor can afford.

But what really burns my ass, is they sent me repeated emails over these intervening three weeks asking me to finish my registration. Then after saying they would send a request to corporate headquarters regarding my demand for a refund, they sent me an email cancelling my membership.
