Return Policy - Identity Theft

I had the misfortune of making my first return ever at Michaels yesterday. I didnt realize that even though it was a small cash purchase from 2 days earlier and for which I had a receipt, when the cashier asked for my driver's license that she would swipe it into their computer. It happened before I could stop her.

Please, be aware that even though they say they encript the data, you are placing yourself at greatly increased risk of identity theft when you make a return at Michaels. This policy is probably posted somewhere in the store, but it does not appear on your receipt. Buyer Beware.
