Getting ripped off as an employee

As a Macy's employee it seems I was charged for my discount when I returned an item. The item was $100 and it cost me $80 (20%). I returned it and saw a charge for my discount on my bill. I questioned the horrible phone customer service and was told Macy's can do this. Steal my money???
Someone explain. When I quit I will go to my States Atty. General.
