2211 Partners Scamming by deception

I wish I had of looked up this company before I agreed to their $1.00 credit report and credit monitoring service. I decided I did not want to use their service the day after I took their trial. So I tried calling the number to cancel. I was on hold for 37 minuted and then my call was dropped. I operated solely off of a cell phone, so a large chunk of my minutes were used for nothing. I was so mad, I waited until the next day to try again. I waited for 28 minutes on hold and finally hung up because I had to pick up my daughter from an event she was attending. The next day I tried again and finally got hold of a young lady that tried to put me on hold by I insisted she take my name and cancel my trial. She said she would send me a confirmation email that I had cancelled. I never got that email and thought nothing of it. Last week I opened my credit card bill to pay it. There was a $29.95 charge from ScoreSense. I called them and after 25 minutes on hold, disputed the charge. I was told that my account was never cancelled and that if I would send them the confirmation email, they would refund the charges. I told them that I had cancelled and never received the email. Basically I was told 'tough luck'. I contacted my credit card company and told them I had been involved in a scam and they said they would start an investigation. I checked with them the next day online and found that ScoreSense had charged another $29.95 to my credit card the same day I tried to get the first charge refunded. So... I called ScoreSense again and after being on hold for 20 minutes I was told the charge had been applied an hour and 30 minutes before I had called and cancelled. I told the lady that was really starting to get sassy with me that I had cancelled before the trial was over but that they had dropped the ball. I also said that my credit card company had been notified and that they had started an investigation on the charges. She told me it would make no difference. That I had agreed to let them do what they were doing and it would do me no good to fight them. Does our government not police these type of companies for scamming the public???
