Unprofessional conduct / breach of contract

My fiance and I signed a contract with Cabanga in February already in preparation for our wedding in April. Everything went well for a year and we carried on planning our wedding with the coordinator. At no point in time was any mention made of problems regarding the costing or the contract price signed for. On the 10th of February we received an updated invoice in terms of which we were held liable for costs originally included in the contract. We personally went through to see the Director, Maurice Kerrigan in order to discuss the matter. This individual was very rude and got up in the middle of the conversation stating that he was not negotiating. This meant that we were in the difficult situation of having to pay nearly R10 000 extra 2 months before our wedding, based on terms and conditions which were unilatterally forced upon us. We tried to reach a compromise with Kerrigan, but to no avail. On the 17th of February Kerrigan had the audacity to send a letter stating that our wedding date has been cancelled. This was done without proper notice and without legal grounds. We were forced to seek a new venue at our own expence and to basically replan our wedding on short notice. This is the worst kind of abuse of consumer rights! It is ridiculous that Kerrigan thinks he can change his mind at a whim when it suits him and that everybody must dance to his tune. This is by far the most unethical and unprofessional "businessman" that I have ever come accross, he does not deserve to have a business, never mind make money off it! Anyone who considers this venue must be very wary of this individual. He will not hesitate to do you in at the drop of a hat.
