Broke contract, non-payment for item sold, don't return telephone calls or emails

An item of mine was consigned for a November 17 sale. My contract states payment within 45 business days of sale. Now that we are well past that date, I have telephoned (three times) and emailed (five times) as to status of payment to me (approx. Usa $ 2600.). Not a single returned call or email. When I did get a hold of the receptionist, I was told that someone would get back to me. No one has to date. I would be embarrassed working for such a company. They have broken the contract and at the very least provide no customer service. I am not sure that I will ever be paid.
