Stars & Stripes Carts Paid for a hot dog cart to be built and sent. It never was

I was looking for a company to build a hot dog cart for me as I was reduced to half time in my teaching position and needed to work. Having a food cart business would work around the schedule at the high school at which I teach. I found several carts on e-bay. This company was one of them. I talked to Charles Raney several times regarding what would need to be done to complete this cart and state regulations. I decided to do business with them.

After receiving what I believed to be the plans for the cart and checking out the registration of the business, I ordered the cart. I put down money on the cart for it to be started.

The rest of the story is like a bad soap opera. First, there was trouble getting the refrigerator. Then they told me that Charles had trouble with his back and had jury duty. Then they were having trouble with a shipping company. Then the cart was damaged when it was being loaded. Then it was sent to the wrong people. Now it seems there has been an unhappy ex-employee who hacked into their e-mail system.

Yes, apparently I am too trusting.

I was informed that I would receive a refund. I have never received a refund.

The company continues to advertise fabrication services at the same address and phone number. I do not understand how they can continue to operate. Like the other complaintant, if there is someone out there who can help me, I would appreciate it. I have completed what is needed with the Better Business Bureau and sent information to the Attorney General.
