Ripoff Illegal charges scam dishonest fraudulent billing false membership

Cosmetique had a promotion going (not strait from there main site) where if you paid for shipping you could get a small kit for 4.95 so I did it for my mom, I get the kit and all seems fine... Then my Credit card bill comes I see the 4.95 then a few days later a charge for $1.00... Fishy yup There was no notice or agreement to this extra $1 charge or was it on my receipt.

Then I get another box in the mail with a receipt saying they billed my card for $24. Xx WAIT A MINUTE, I didn't agree to this nor did I sign up for any auto send, so I call they say "you must have signed up for a subscription or membership" I said no I didn't I know I check for those things and no where on the paper did it say anything about them sending more if I didnt call. I have it here in front of me. She had no reply, So I then brought up the extra 1$ charge and she says "yes they charge you a dollar more"... Uh no thats not legal "I didnt agree to that nor was it on my receipt" she replies with the same comment "Well they charge you a dollar more" THAT IS ILLEGAL!

I contacted my Credit card company and they are taking action. So don't try to tell me this isnt a scam. A) Entering you into a membership without your agreement is illegal. B) Charging your credit card with out your consent is illegal. C) Adding extra funds later on is ILLEGAL. So yes they are scammers. Sure they say they will fix it when you send it back and spend your time and energy fixing the problem but thats what they bank on that you wont do it. Thus A SCAM... There is no doubt about it I have proof that this is a rip-off/scam and that they are doing illegal, bad-faith actions.
