Penny Pools Penny Jones and Nick Lozano did not complete installation after receiving full payment amount

Penny Jones and Nick Lozano contacted me after my craigslist inquiry. They said they were from "Pool Sharks" even though they mentioned "Penny Pools" and "above ground pool repair". Neither companies exist in the San Antonio listing of businesses.

I bought an above ground pool from someone in San Antonio and they took it down and moved it for me to my home. They charged me $200 which I thought was alot since we had to help them because their "truck was in the shop" later i learned they didnt own a truck.

The real problem began a Penny Jones and Nick Lozano from Pool Sharks came to install the pool. They needed half up front $750 due now and $750 when completed. I gave the money expecting them to come back in a week after they had to special order my liner. 2 weeks go by and I hear nothing. I call and text and email. No contact, so I started to get a bit worried. Finally she texts me saying the liner hasnt come in yet.

I put it out of my mind but 2 more weeks pass and no contact. I call and text and email again, recieve a response that she had to send back my original liner because the box was damaged.

Two more weeks pass and I get very frustrated that no one has come. This is now NOVEMEBER. So we cant even use the pool. But if I try to fill the pool in december, SAWS water system in San Antonio will charge me extra for the water usage. So I tell them they need to install the pool or give the money back asap. I didnt hear anything back. I sent multiple texts since that is the only way she would contact me.

Finally I try to call again, AND THE NUMBER WAS DISCONNECTED! I flipped out. I sent multiple emails that weekend, expecting to call the cops on monday to report it and try to find them. On monday they show up and start working 60 days after our agreement!

Penny Jones and Nick Lozano of Pool Sharks or Penny Pools of San Antonio both were there working like nothing was wrong. I told them how upset I was and they both laughed. They said they were just borrowing that phone from a friend. I was not happy with them, but since they still had my money and I needed this pool setup I let them work. This was mid Novemeber. She said multiple times they were going to bring a crew out to complete the work but no one ever came, ONLY THE TWO OF THEM.

After they "worked" for a couple hours, I still had no walls up on the pool. Then she has the GALL to ask me for more money because she had to use some week killer and the liner "costs more than I expected" she said the week killer was $100 a bag. (It was a lie that I found out later). I told her I had no money and she said she would follow me to the ATM so I could get it for her. I almost blew it then. I got her her "gas money" as she said thats what she needed it for.

I told them if it wasnt done by dec. 1. I would take legal action. We left for the weekend to Dallas for thanksgiving to see family. While we were gone, they got the walls up and started to fill it. When I got home I was ticked that it wasnt full, the water would now be on my averaging bill for dec. With SAWS.

They "completed" the installation at night (7pm) and let it fill. They told me to just watch the water but that it was finally done. I took the next day off of work and let the pool fill. It got to the jet part and started spewing out water. I called her, and no response, text, email. Nothing. I went to the store and got some putty to try to cover the leak, it worked, and let the pool fill. Finally at night she texts me asking if its still broken?

Once the pool filled, I turned it on and there were leaks EVERYWHERE! Every Fitting, each jet. AND on top of it all, the liner was coming down!? They said they were professional! I finally got them to come back out the next week and they tightened the fittings, but they still leaked. Penny Jones said she would come back out to fix it the next day.

The next day came, and the next, and the next after that. After many calls and texts, I finally get a call from her telling me that Nick abuses her and she finally moved out and is living with a friend. She says she has no tools and cannot fix it! I felt bad for her (if she was telling the truth) I told her she can fix the problem or she needed to return $200 and she could walk away and I'll hire someone else. She said she didnt have any money because Nick had all of it.

She said she would come back out, but never did, no phone calls, no text, no email even after I sent multiple texts/calls and threatened leagal action.

They are not trustworthy. Penny Jones and Nick Lozano or Pools Sharks or above ground pool repair or penny pools, when you read this, I will think about taking this down once you return the money or come complete the installation of the pool.
