Beware of Totsy!

What a scam! Ordered children's boots on September 24. They won't tell you until after you've placed your order, when your estimated ship date will be.in this case it was October 20.

They claim to not charge your card until the order ships, but that's also incorrect. I was charged (see e-mail from Totsy below).

I waited patiently for the boots and on October 21 when I still hadn't received a shipping notification, I logged onto the site and the ship date had been changed to October 15 (which doesn't even make sense). I e-mailed customer service immediately and this is the response I got from them on October 21:

"I am so very sorry to say that the items are unavailable for shipment. Although we have attempted to retrieve the item we have been unsuccessful and must refund you the purchase price of the item. I have submitted the refund request which should post into your account within 7-10 business days. Thank you so much for your understanding. I have posted a $5.00 Totsy credit towards your account for the inconvenience you have experienced. Thank you."

I should have listened to the others and avoided this site, and now you should too. I also should have known something wasn't right when they don't provide an estimated shipping date until AFTER you've placed your order. This was my first time using Totsy and frankly I don't think the prices are any better than Amazon or eBay. I wish they had let me know sooner that the boots were unavailable (and before charging me for them) because I've had ample opportunities to pick up a pair in the last month, but like an idiot, I believed that Totsy would ship mine any day.
