Sprint PCS breached agreement! They reniged on rebate offer. Rip-off!

Beware in deals made over the phone with Sprint "representatives"...

Recently our company contacted Sprint to find ways to decrease our bill, due to charges that continue to "creep" upwards. We had been customers for over ten years, always paid on time, however, when we reviewed our service with a Sprint PCS representative, they offered to give us a $150 service credit for each of the five phones that were up for renewal. They told me that my current bill would be paid in full due to this "credit", and to ignore my bill.

I copied down the name of the representative but several weeks later received no credit. I called a "supervisor" and referred to the agreement, and that we had not received a credit. I was told they could not give me such a credit and that they could not let me speak with the person with whom I made the deal. The later admitted that this person was reprimanded for making such a deal.

We then wrote a letter complaining, giving nothing but the hard facts, then received a call from someone with an Indian accent that could hardly speak English. I could not understand what was said and just gave up on the whole issue.

Although the Sprint PCS network is a good product, their business practices are less than honest. Don't depend on anything said over the phone, check each bill with a fine tooth comb, followup to make sure what they say is what they do. They figure that most people won't notice the extra stuff put on their bills, which means millions more of dollars they make on the failure of customers to watch them "like a hawk"...

My point is, don't trust them for anything they say, only what they do. The customer service departments resemble more of a collection agency sweatshop, more interested in grubbing for bucks, than trying to keep long term, loyal and paying customers. It seems loyalty to Sprint PCS don't mean much, so beware on your dealings with them.
