Eliminated a Core Service Offering Without Warning

Company eliminated a Core Service Offering without any warning, leaving customers without a way to manage web domains. Aplus.net was a full-service web hosting company that offered internet domain registration and management services managed through an administrative control panel. The control panel allowed customers to see at a glance which domains they had, the expiration date, lock status, and auto-renew status. It also allowed customer to change dns name-servers, lock status and auto-renew. This was a typical domain management panel such as those offered by competitors godaddy.com, enom.com, etc.

In 2009 Deluxe purchased Aplus.net.in Fall of 2011 Deluxe replaced the Aplus.net control panel with a new Deluxe control panel that does not include domain management capability. This was done without any advanced notice to customers. My business has 80 domains registered with Aplus.net and I have now lost the ability to: - see which domains are near expiration - see which domains have expired - see which domains are set to auto-renew - change the nameservers for my domains - change the lock status for my domains - generate a transfer code for my domains The cost for me to move the domains to another host prior to their natural expiration dates, is about $10 - $15 per domain not counting labor. For my business to fix this by transferring all my domains to another vendor will cost about $300 - $500 total in actual registration fees plus labor. Tickets posted with the company support requesting either to turn the old control panel back on or make a cash settlement for me to move my domains to another host have been closed without being dealt with.
