Ripoff fraudulent billing GAS coupon telemarketing scam

A telemarketer called my house and had my information... By my information, I mean the telemarketer had my name. He said that I had won $200 in Gas voucher coupons, all that I needed was to pay for the $1.90 in shipping. So like an idiot, I took out my checkbook and told him the numbers on the bottom of my check. I was given a confirmation number and then was sent over to another person who played a recording asking me "yes/no" questions reguarding offers from different companies.

This is the check that was made up By Utalk Unlimited that Utalk Unlimited took out of my account! (i pointed out the errors).

I said no to all of the ones that I heard, and after 15 minutes, I was a little bit peeved that this was taking so long, so I told the rep on the other end to cancel everything, he hung up. I called back the next day to make sure that I was canceled out of the system, and the rep who was on the phone was laughing, you could hear people talking very loudly in the background - so I suspected something. She transfered me over to three different reps, who all 3 took down my information and they all said that it would take 24 hours to delete my information. I called the next day to make sure that it was out of the system - and who would have guessed?

The computer system was down... For 3 days. The 4th day that i called to make SURE that I was out of the system, the phone line was out of service. So I went on the website and called the two other 800 numbers that they had posted. Those 2 were also out of service. $1.90 was taken out of my account, and the gas vouchers were sent to me, along with phone cards from Utalk Unlimited - I sent them back. (I know, stupid.) Not but 3 days ago $139.90 was taken out of my account - my online banking service usually shows copies of the checks that are cashed, the funny thing was... My name was spelled wrong, for signature it said "authorized by your customer no signature required". Over the cust. Svc # were NSF stamps... A bit fishy? I think so.

They're making their own checks. I have an apointment at the bank tomorrow, I will have to have my accounts changed and see if i can get my money back. There's a possibility.
