UTalk unlimited & CPI (Contiunity Partners Inc.) Ripoff— Fraud Las Vegas

I received a call 1/8/04 from Steven Martinez rep # 258 asking if I would like to receive $200 vouchers for gasoline costing me just $1.95 to cover the cost of postage and handling. All I needed to do was review other offers regarding Cable TV services, long distant phone services and may other services that their company handled.

While I was on the phone with my rep Steven Martinez, I called with my cell phone and vertified the customer care phone number 1-800-278-7009 spoke to Chris employee # 7634 and I thought that I was dealing with an above board company. But I should have figured that you never get something for nothing. Well, I did give them my checking account # and one check # to withdraw $1.95 from my account to cover the postage (I know STUPID).

I never did receive ANYTHING in the mail, while I was balancing my checking account I realized that U-Talk Unlimited had withdrawn from my account $139.90 on January 26. I called that evening and spoke with Alice rep# 2634 she assured me that they had made an error and that she would mail me that required form I needed to fillout and mail back to receive my refund.

I received the form and a letter of apology, mailed the form back to them 2/10/04. The form states that it would take 10-14 business days after they received the form back for a check to issued to me. Well after calling every Friday since 2/28/04 and being told by 7 different customer care reps (I have all of their names and emp. #'s), my check was being prepared and that they were so very sorry for the delay, I still do not have my check. On April 10 I called the same phone number and got a recording that all lines were busy.

Later that day I called the phone company and was told that the recording only meant that they were having trouble with the phone line. I called again on the 12 and 13 of April and got the same recording. Called the phone company and was told that that kind of recording was telling me that they were have trouble with their phone lines.

Well 4/19/04 I called again and same recording, then I went to the UTALK Unlimited web page and found another # 1-800-276-9135 and that line was no longer in service. I called the long distance operater and asked for active phone numbers for UTalk Unlimited or CPI and they had no numbers for either. Called 1-800 long distant operator and was told that there were no listing for either companies. I am calling my states Attorney Generals office and will do what ever they suggest.

I have also called my bank and have an appointment today. They may be able to help me... It is fraud and they will try to help me. I would appreciate any other suggestions that you may have for me.
