Tim Hoover Flooring Employer kept final check and 700.00 of my OWN money I loaned him

I worked for a guy named Tim Hoover out of Topeka KS, as a carpet layer, worked for him for a few months and upon my final week he suckered me into "loaning" him 700.00 so he could buy a radio controlled helicopter, he also kept my final check of around 250.00 which he payed me like 50.00 of then stopped paying me. Not only that but my tools were stolen from his truck on a jobsite which he paid me a fraction of a fraction of what they cost me and kept a majority of the money for himself. I highly recommend to anyone in the Topeka area to stay away from working for him because he will just rip you off. I told him I was going to sue him in small claims court three months after he quit paying me and he called threatening me on a voicemail with "lumping my head with a roll of nickles, I am now reporting on him because I've given him almost a year to make things right and he hasn't so Tim I hope it was worth screwing over a real friend buddy.
