They need to be sued

Alleghany did the same thing to me as well. What is really sad is that there are no competitors to make them accountable to customer service... This needs to change. I suggest a class action suit against them. Anyone who has ever had to go through a day or a night without electricity just because the worker bees at Alleghany want to teach a lesson to the customers who forgot to pay their bill is unacceptable. Considering that they already had $309.00 of my money in a deposit and still they turned off my electricity and refused to turn it back on in order to teach me a lesson.

There is no recourse for their sordid practices and as such we need to go before a judge and make our case not only for the wrongs that have been done to us but for the wrongs they will continue to do to others.

Alleghany has $309 of my money sitting in a bank account drawing interest the amount I owed the was only half of that and still they choose to shut off my power for $159.00. They had twice the amount of my money. Once they were paid they refused to turn on the power for another day. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior necessitates regulation since human beings cannot regulate themselves to be decent to their fellow human beings.

Enough is enough these sordid tactics have been going on for a long time and Alleghany does it because they can get a way with it. Lets start by asking for damages for shutting off our electricity it is an especially egregious act when Alleghany already has a deposit twice the amount past due. The lack of competition creates this obnoxious behavior and can only be met with legal action aka recourse.in all of the 17 years I have paid the utility bills in my life and have always paid Alleghany is the first company to turn off power. They need to be sued...
