The Cremation Society of Arizonas website lists The Cremation Research Council of Arizona as a research organization recommending the Cremation Society of Arizona. Upon further investigation it was discovered that according to the Arizona Secretary of States Office, the Cremation Research Council is a filed Trade Name in the State of Arizona owned by Paul Gabriel at 12525 NW GRAND AVE, El Mirage, Arizona 85335. Also interesting to note that the Cremation Society of Arizona, Sunwest Funeral Home & Cemetery, Heritage Crematory and Heritage Memory Mortuary all shared the same address as the Cremation Research Council of Arizona. The research shows that Mr. Paul Gabriel serves as its President.
The survey in question shows a cost and service comparison among local companies supplying the same cremation services. As a consumer and a customer of one of the mentioned Cremation Societies the prices listed are definitly not accurate. Not even close as Cremation Society lists their direct cremation prices listed as $895. They are not mentioning extra charges for transportation of body outside of their limited area, medical examiner fees, death cert, urns/merchandise, and travel plans that give complete coverage outside of the locals area. The prices they are showing for the other companies are including ALL those items I just mentioned. Very deceiving and disturbing.
