DCSinglesnow.com CheckMate4U.com sued in Virginia Court for Breach of Contract & misrepresentation

After getting blown-off from the VA Attorney general's office of consumer affairs because this company refuse to even discuss this matter, I had no option left but to file a lawsuit in court.

After signing a contract with Checkmate4U.com (CM4U), a matchmaking agency, on/around Nov I felt the glimmer of hope for finding that special spmeone in my life.

CM4U's complete assurance from Ms. Liz Cooper repeatedly stated that 1). There were plenty of prospective & compatible women for my background and lifestyle. I was repeatedly assured that the upcoming 2010 holiday season and I would be able
to start meeting a prospective life partner within 2-3 weeks 2) That CM4U specialized in matching security cleared personnel with compatible matches and often matches individuals from governent personnel 3) if I ever felt dissatisfied, I would be refunded 50% of the $1799 charged.

Since that only meeting in person and once the credit card had been charged for $1799, I have never spoken with ANYONE at CM4U directly vis phone despite several attempts.

No calls were ever returned and all correspondence was either via text messages or email. Match #1 was non-existent and never returned any calls. Match #2 was "too busy" to talk and never returned any calls, and Match #3 as well as two other
matches were "bait and switch" matches completely incompatible with myself in every possible characteristic.

I expressed my concerns repeatedly in the next 4 months over a complete abscence of any interested or genuine matches. I was lipserviced and cajolled repeatedly by CM4U on how big a prirority I was and how "I was going to have a great holiday season, " and that CM4U was busy on "it" with my matches as "the top most priority." However, I remained unmatched on Thanksgiving, christmas, new years eve, and valentines day. All matches were either non-existent or grossly incompatibe. On March 4th I called and left a voice mail at CM4U and sent an email as well to refund me the 50% as I had not used any of the 15 dates promised under my contract. The following is the reply I recieved from CheckMate4U.com:

" Dear Mr.,

After careful review of your membership, contract and multiple correspondence we will not issue any monies or refund and will continue to service you per this agreement. Your email and threats of violence is prohibited. Your fraudulent remarks, accusations and conduct is something that will not be tolerated. From this point on, I will be handing your account. I suggest you review your contract, and countless correspondence and phone calls to Liz your Executive Board member. Liz has worked with you beyond what would have been expected, given the membership option you chose.

From the email reply above, CM4U clearly intendedto intimidate and thereaten me into dropping my claim or else I would risk my employment under entirely fraudulent and false accusations of "emails of threat and violence" I have NEVER threatened anyone at Checkmate4U.com in many manner and have never included any statements even remotely associated with any violence whatsoever. I have never even spoken to anyone at CH4U once my check was cashed. All voice mails to CM4U were responded to via emails or text messages.

CM4U continues to counter-accuse me and attack my character while threatening to caonter -sue me in retaliation. I will post an update once the lawsuit is heard — I have very litle hope the court will do anything but it will be a good test of the judicial system at least.
