Was told that my "deposit" paid directly to them would go toward any home I chose to rent

This company advertised on Craigslist that they could relocate my son and I by just paying a $350 deposit to United Servics, Inc. And first month's rent to whichever dwelling we chose to live in. After looking at the list of dwellings we were to email those we were interested in looking at. I was told evictions would not even matter unless there were multiple evictions and my credit score would not even matter. We were assured they could get us into a place that same day.

First off this did not happen, we went to their office on Saturday, August 6th and it is now Thursday

August 11 in which we are still in the motel we have been living in for over a month now which I cannot afford.

On Saturday I told the agent at United Services (Terrance) of our circumstances and we needed a place right away. I paid the $350 directly to United Services, Inc. As instructed in which I was given a list of dwellings to choose from. I emailed a list of those we wanted to look at to United Services, Inc. And was sent to two different apartment complexes, one on Tuesday and another on Wednesday. My son and I were told that $350 we gave United Services, Inc. Was for the application fee for the dwelling we chose, the credit check and deposit.

Yet when we went to that first apartment on Tuesday I was informed that we would have to pay the $35.00 application fee, security deposit and first and last month's rent. I told the agent at the apartment complex what I thought was supposed to happen and she denied it. On Wednesday we went to the other apartment complex we were sent to. I was hoping the first had made a mistake. Unfortunately I was told different. What I paid United Services, Inc. Is now lost because that money is strictly for their services in helping to relocate which was something I could have done myself.

Being we were told my credit and one eviction would not matter of course I jumped on the opportunity just to get ripped off. We were not able to rent an apartment at either of those complexes as I do have an eviction only two years old. We were lied to and ripped off in the worst way possible under the circumstances.
