Told me the wrong amount to pay for my rent, which used up my free month early

When I moved in September I was given a special of a free months rent broken up throughout the year. I went down to the office in November to inquire abbout the cosst of the rent since I had added a garage. The manager or young lady on duty went and looked it up came back to me and told me my rent was $820.00 a month. II continued to pay my rent on or before the first of the month each month.in April. I again paid my rent of $820.00 by the 1st and a couple of days later I received a note under my door stating I owed them $100.00 more for rent that our agreement had expired. I was taken by surprise. Tis was the first I had heard anything about the rent not being the correct amount since I moved in.

When I called and spoke to Lisa - who is the manager of these complexes out here, she said that they just place the money on an account and how ever you choose to use the money is up to you they don't care. I would have thought that if I waswn't paying the right amount, I would have been notified before my free months was exhausted and the year was not over especially when I asked about the price of the rent.

When I asked this Lisa then how much my rent is now she told me I needed to start paying $880.00 a month. I told her she might as well throw me out now because I w2asn't going to pay that and I can't afford that much of an increase especially when there was NO notice. I have got a new apartment that I am moving into the first of May and they can have their apartment b ack. The sad part is, they have $1700.00 of my money in deposit and a last months rent that I will lose.
