After being a long-time customer at the Safeway in Germantown, MD, my family like many others had hit very rough times. I was a familiar face, and knew most of the cashiers by name. On a particularly bad day, our heat was out and I had no food in my home. I made arrangments to borrow a credit card # from my Mother. I even called the store, explained my situation, and was told "no problem." It was fine in one part of the store, but not the other. I was humiliated at the front register by 2 Assistant Managers that neither know me nor listened to what the story was. My husband and I are completely disabled and were therefore left without necessities for his condition. I spend Thousand of dollars in your store. Check my bonus card for my expenses 301-452-5782. I could have given any needed info, had them contact the card holder and had it faxed but they were not interested in the least. As a result, neither I, my family, nor any friends or neighbors will be visiting your store in the future. Thanks Safeway!!!
