American Values, U Talk, Well Net, & Wash Ball
Ripped me off for $79.95 and 3 charges of $1.95

I too like many others was ripped off by these companies.

I got a call from American Values offering me $200 in gas vouchers. I would be enrolled in a trial membership for seven days. They would charge me $1.95 for the information packet. If I cancelled before the seven days were up I would recieve my $1.95 back and wouldn't be charged anything else.

After saying yes to this I was then asked to do the same for three other companies. (U Talk, Well Net, and Wash Ball) Unfortunately I did. I thought it was ok because they said I could get my Money back if I canceled before seven days & the $200 in free gas sounded good.

I received the informaiton packets and called immediately after receiving them and canceled. They told me I would be getting a check in the mail for $1.95 from each company within seven to ten days. Well I never did.

Later i found a charge on my account for $79.95 from Wash Ball.
I called them and they agreed that I had canceled and that they would send me a check within seven to ten days. After waiting I never recieved it so I called back and they said I should have gotten it. They said they would issue another check but I never got that one either.

So I got suspicious and looked up the companies on the internet and found all these complaints.

I went to the bank and told them what happened. Luckily one of the $1.95's and the $79.95 was within 60 days. So they could get those two charges back. However the other charges for the $1.95's were not within 60 days so there was nothing they could do about those.

These companies are taking advantage of hard working people and need to be stopped.
