For our 30th Wedding anniversary my husband and I chose a trilogy diamond ring set in white gold. It cost £899.00. My ring arrived just before Xmas 2010 and I must admit I was delighted with it.in April just 4 months after purchase, I was horrified to discover that one of the diamonds had fallen out and was lost. I immediately contacted Rachel who advised me to return the ring so they could check if it was a manufacturing fault. When I rang them a few days later I was told that there was no fault at their end. I couldn't believe this as I don't do any maual work (other than housework and I don't wear my ring then) and I work in an office so how could I possibly be at fault? I was told something as simple as getting the ring snagged on a tablecloth or similar could cause the setting to become loose and the diamond fall out. What rubbish-I have worn my diamond solitaire engagement ring constantly for 35 years and never had a problem. I asked for a full refund as I will not feel confident wearing this ring again but was told this was not possible. They have replaced diamond but I am not happy.
