I paid camping world of south ala $3620.00 to repair a leaking slide out dinette that caused floor damage in slide of my 07 outback kargaroo. I bought the camper new there in feb. 07 and also purchased a 7 yr. Extended mechanical warranty for $3000.00 at the time of purchase. It is a power slide and is operated by a switch. They told me the warranty does not cover leaks so i would have to pay for it out of pocket. I only noticed the leak in a cabinet behind one of the dinette seats shortly before i took it to them and knew it had to be repaired. The camper is only 4 years old and should not be leaking in the first place but it seems like it should fall under mechanical to me. The gaskets on the outside looked good to me and i always made sure the top of the slide was clean before i closed it. I believe my warranty with freedom roads should have paid at least part of the bill if not all. It just doesnt seem right to me.
