Franchise Owner Gave No ROE or T4 and Owed Wages

Michael Bignold, the franchise owner, conducted business in an unprofessional manner that did not comply with the Employment Standards set by the Government of Alberta, in my personal opinion and based on my experience with him as an employee. Payment for work was bewildering.

His paperwork was deficient. He did not provide copies of forms to employees, including the ROE and T4. He did not make clear in writing what work was required and the corresponding pay, he did not keep a consistent and accurate record of hours worked by employees, and his tax deductions were inconsistent.

Supervision was lax.

He did not always provide proper equipment for workers.

Safety for workers was at times questionable.

Breaks and proper rest periods were not properly allocated.

Wages are owed! The incentive benefits never materialized.
