This report involves the business practices of a man, Ishmael Israel, who owns a business, Icon Builders and Development in Brooklyn Center, MN.

While working for Ishmael he did not accurately record our hours worked. Most times my checks would come up short. He would also make promises to send out checks via mail and would not do so. When I resigned employment with him I never received my last check for 32 hours.

There was also a constant problem with him having available funds to cover the handwritten personal checks that we were provided. There were numerous times that his personal checks would not clear with my bank (Wells Fargo) and he would have to give me cash to cover all the fees.

He has done this to several previous employees. At least two men that I know of for sure has had negative dealings with him when it came down to them receiving their monies owed. Isreal also began to ignore calls and textes to his personal cell phone regarding the monies owed.
