Editors Reader Service called my job asking me would I be interested in receiving some free magazines. I told them sure why not. But I should have known nothing in this life is free and hung up the phone. After a few minutes of talking, the woman said it would only be $3.00 a month and I could pay it at any time. I did not say anything about how she said it was free just a minute ago because I thought to myself $3.00 is nothing. She told me she wanted to put me through to her manager so he could verify my information. While speaking with the manager, he mentioned that they would need a check for $26.00. I told him that the woman I was speaking with said it would only be $3.00.. He gave me a song and dance and said he would send someone out in a week. Sure enough someone came out to collect my money but I never saw a magazine. Hang up the phone on solicitors please.
