Mail-in Rebate Never Sent, Offered Store Gift Card Instead of Money

I purchased a memory module from the Best Buy store here in Ann Arbor. It was a 128 megabyte PNY memory stick for 30.00 and it had a 20.00 mail in rebate.

I sent in all the required information and waited 12 weeks for the rebate. $ weeks past the time they said it would take.

I contacted Best Buy at their website and they responded that they would send me a gift card for the 20.00. I do not want the gift card I want my money so I can use it where and on what I want. Not just in their store, which I may not return to.

I have tried all of the phone numbers to get help with this and I have gotten no where.

All I want is the rebate I am entitled to.
