Alltel Cellular over billing and possibly killing your credit. Pretty much screwed

I just recieved my bill from Alltel. Within a 4 month period my bill has reached an all time high of 1,000 dollars plus. My phone was stolen when I was on my way back from Seattle Washington. So I called Alltel and told them that my phone was stolen and to cancel the service.
My bill was already extremely high. I had 500 minutes local calling and free nights and weekends. I looked at my bill and it showed that I was over my minutes. Hard to believe when I used my phone more at night then during the day. So my statement before this one was only $856.53.
I was still recieving a $75.00 charge to my phone. So I called Alltel again. Waiting about 45 minutes or better for customer service. They told me that I had to cancel my plan in order to keep from getting charged.
So I broke my contract with them having to pay a $180.00 fee to cancel a service in which I was not using. So that is where the $1,000.00 charge comes from and now I have a late fee of $51.00 that they are going to apply every month.
I work for the state of Florida part time and I'm a student the most I can pay a month is $20.00. So I am never going to pay them off and they will not work with me on getting this payment worked out. So basically unless I can come up with $100.00 a month. I am pretty much screwed. Just stay away from Alltel AKA "SMUTTEL" and you should be safe.
