Their motto should be "you get what you pay for"

I had a terrible experience with this company. I paid a deposit to secure my contract, and moving date and time. The day before the move the manager called and said they could not move me at the time scheduled. I was paying by the hour, and strategically scheduled the move during a low traffic time traveling from Norfolk, VA to Newport News, VA. He called me the day before and told me the only time he could do it was at rush hour. This would have been very good for them, as it is written in their contract that they "double" the travel time and charge for it. I refused to agree to the time change and told them if they couldn't do the time I asked, then I wanted to cancel my contract and wanted a refund. Surprisingly? He agreed to have the movers there at the time I scheduled. Needless to say, they arrived 1.5 hours late on the day of the move. I had everything packed and near the front door when they arrived. They moved very slow taking the objects out the house, loaded the truck, then completely unloaded the truck to re-organize it's contents. My immediate thought was this was a "time killing" tactic. The movers arrived in what appeared to be a "rented" Penske 16Ft Truck. I told the manager what I would be moving, he assured me the truck would accomodate my items. When all was said and done, I had to leave several items behind because they wouldn't fit on the truck. The next day I had to rent an Uhaul Cargo Van to get the remaining items. The movers damaged my furniture. They punctured a whole in my red leather sofa, and broke the chrome legs of the matching red leather chair. According to their contract they offer limited insurance for damages which is included in the contracted rate. When I submitted a damage claim for my property and a request for reimbursement for the additional expenses incurred due to the inadequate truck size, I was told it would take 45 days to process. I waited... Then ultimately was told by the manager that I paid $561.00 for the move, I got one "full" truckload of items moved and he felt that was fair. He said he would send me $25 for my damaged leather livingroom set.

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. BEWARE! They take part in a bidding war for your service, give you poor service and then will suggest that due to the hourly low rate paid, you got your moneys worth. They are horrible!!
