JDMarvel Products ripoff cashed my check in May. Phone call and letters still no refund or slippers ordered. Address is USA but company is in Canada. Quebec Canada

On April 29th I ordered a pair of woman's size 7 red suede slippers from JDMarvel Products and enclosed a check for $10.90 as required to cover the cost of slippers and shipping. My check was cashed in May. On July 7th and again on July 10th I called their customer service number to inquire as to the status of my order. I was told the items had been back ordered but were to arrive the following week and that they would be shipped out to me the week of July 21st.

On September 16th I sent another letter explaining that I still had not received the slippers or any correspondence from the company explaining the delay. To add insult to injury, when I called the customer service number I was unaware I was calling out of the country and consequently my telephone bill reflected $9.12 of international long distance charges! Some customer service! I demanded a refund and sent copies of my letter to the Champlain Chamber of Commerce as well as the Better Business Bureau.

On November 2 I received a phone call from the Champlain Chamber telling me the company actually resided in Canada and only had a P.O. Box in this border town. They had referred the matter to the Attorney General's office but the fact the company had no actual residence in the States posed a problem.

Just recently this rip-off company had the nerve to send me their catalogue! Please help.
