VSEC Animal Killers - Beware! Do not take your animals to this vet clinic!

This vet is one of the worst vets I've ever been to. They misdiagnosed our dog with having laryngeal paralysis when he in fact had cancer.

Our dog became paralyzed literally overnight. We called our vet and he recommended VSEC. We took him in that morning and by 5 P.M. We hadn't heard a word so we called. Our dog hadn't even been looked at yet! They said they did numerous tests and x-rays but the Dr. Was "too busy" to look at him and he would need to stay over. Well, they charge $150 for an overnight stay so we said no. The Dr. Said he would waive the fee so we agreed.

The next day, we went to pick him up and all they did for him were blood tests and a couple of x-rays (I have yet to see) and charged us $1400.00, plus they added on the overnight fee. We told the receptionist we weren't paying that fee, so we had a balance until it could be cleared.

They kept saying he had a slipped disk and severe arthritis in his back and thought walking wheels would help him. They told us they could do surgery but he would only have a 20 percent chance of walking again on his own. But, the also assured us he wasn't in any pain. So we bought the walking wheels to the tune of $525. What a mistake! Our dog didn't even have the strength to hold himself up even with the wheels. We kept calling VSEC for solutions and all they could say is that we should have an MRI or a Mylogram. An MRI was $2500 and the Mylogram $1800 so they just wanted our money. They knew there was nothing we could do for him but put him down.

After seeing 3 more vets and a chiropractor, we had to put our dog to sleep because he had a cancerous tumor in his neck, which eventually spread to his brain and was causing him to have seizures.

I would never recommend this vet to anybody! When my vet made a comment about them being in financial trouble, I should have stayed away. They clearly do not want to help animals. They are all about the money!
