CBOMC Absolutely non-transparent rip offs, no way to back out

1. During signup, the terms and conditions were hidden and even so it was not readily apparent what the customer is signing up for. Given that the commitments are so restrictive and non-reversible, they need to be made very explicit.
2. Even if I squinted hard and did manage to figure that out, it was not readily apparent how much I will have to pay for each featured selection. Im shocked and surprised to find that each book, that too a childs book, is costing me close to $30! And I have to buy at least 4 such, as I found out to my chagrin.in total, I will have paid close to $150 for childrens books!
3. Nowhere during the signup does it say that the only way for me to get out of anything is to actually finish my commitments. That even without having a chance to evaluate the service! Right now I am dis-satisfied with the service and I cant backout in a meaningful way.
4. Everything about the service seems kind of forced and clandestine. Unless I monitor my email, there is no way to not receive a featured selection. Items arrived in the same shipment cant all be returned.
5. Finally, while I understand that promotional offers are for a reason, that does not preclude me from having the opportunity to evaluate and cancel. Definitely should be able to return unopened items. I cant return everything that I dont want and cancel the account. I may be responsible for promotional offer revocation and liabilities thereof but I need to be able to have a choice. There is no way of backing out. I should have recourse to redressal.
6. Customer service smugly refused to offer any significant help or advice. Even the customer service system is designed to take you round and round, waste your time so you feel discouraged and never contact them, losing out in the process.
Clearly, the service is designed to be a rip off based on an opt out model rather than an opt in model. Seems like just a way to over charge for items of questionable value.
