One Spirit Book Club
Sending monthly books irregardless of cancellation

Internet & Web

This company uses a confusing website format to trick customers into signing up for their Book Club. After calling them and telling them that the membership was made in error, they refused to accept their "special offer" of books back!

I was led to believe from their website it was a one year commitment and purchase of three books. I then was stuck in a commitment of 2 years receiving one book per month. The actual commitment for completion of the contract requires purchase of 5 books.

Even though I return their monthly offer back as "No Thanks/Do Not Sent" in a timely matter. I still receive the their selection book in the mail monthly. I then have to return the book at my expense to them to get a return credit for it. Just in time for the next book to arrive!!!

In summary, One Spirit Bookclub uses deceptive advertising. The customer service number they provide on their return forms is very difficult to navigate through and is not even the actual number. You have sift through about an hour of recorder messages to get anywhere. Watch out for them... They are one spirit... Mean spirited and a RIP OFF COMPANY!
