This company should change the name from TotalProtect to TOTAL RIP-OFF! Your appliances will not be repaired

I decided to take the TotalProtect plan, which covers Major Appliance repair problems, which is like an insurance appliance program from the Cross Country Home Services company. It sounded pretty good on paper; like they textually say TotalProtect covers emergency repairs as well as routine problems.

After the 1-month free they give you, (You cannot request any repairs on the first month) we called to get our microwave oven and refrigerator fixed. The microwave was not heating properly and it was making very wear sounds when functioning, on the other hand the ice maker of the refrigerator was leaking and creating huge pieces of ice, making the ice maker useless.

I was stupid enough to believe in their service. They called their own service repair companies. You don't have a choice to pick your own. They came and analyze the situation. I paid the $50 co-payment and they said, they were going to come back in 10-15 days. After a month of waiting and several calls to TotalProtect they said that they were still waiting for the service company to fill out the report. Another month went buy and finally they said that the problem of the refrigerator was cosmetic and the problem on the microwave was not functional so they were not going to pay for anything.

I told them that I was not satisfied with the service at all and I wanted a full refund of at least the premium paid and not for the $50 co-payment, since this was part of the agreement. I guess to cover the service company fees (the $50 co-pay). We even requested to talk to the manager and the other manager and so forth. No result. The only result we got was get rip-off by this company

This company should change the name from TotalProtect to TOTAL-RIP-OFF. Their strategy is make you wait a long time, while they collect their premium, and then, they say is not covered by the program. After that they don't even return your premium and/or your co-payment.

Be advise, they are going to take your money and you are going to end up with your appliances not repaired.
