While living in CO, Mid 2009 I requested a moving company located in Montros, CO to provide me a estimate to move my small amount of personal belongs back to CA. I have moved the same amount of items from Sacramento, Ca to Ft Worth TX, then from there to Grand Junction, CO. I didn't have any more items nor has the weight changed. The person who came out posted to be just a sales person. I received a quote to move my stuff which was located on ground level, the amount she gave was with in my budget. I was on a tight dead line to relocated. I showed good faith and provided them Moo Movers, LLC a certified check which was a firm quote in writing for the move, expecting my stuff to be moved by Moo Movers, of Montros, CO.

They Moo Movers, LLC farmed out my items to be moved by another company from the Mid West, the packing help was hire in Grand Junction and had been drinking beer's before he arrived. The mid west van lines mover transported my things and held them hostage for another $650.00 when they arrived in Sacramento, Ca. I filed from CA with The (BBB) located in Grand Junction, CO a rip off complaint about the quick switch. Strange the owner who was suppose to be just a sale person reviewed my items, I was accused to having a garage and added things on the truck. The garage at the small 4 apt complex was the apt owners. The owner of the moving company displayed convent short term memory loss. Future Moves of America located in Montrose. The owners husbands was mayor of the small town.

Warning to consumer take digital photos of all your packed boxes and loose items if any. Don't move basic sofa's & coffee tables, beds. I moved one queen bed, small 4 door dresser, one night stand, and 4 seated round kitchen table that was it for my furniture. Have the estimator sign what they looked at even if they are just the sale person or owner of the business. Don't allow your things to be brokered out because there is no guarantee the other mover will accept what was already paid in full in quote. The mover in Montrose lead me to believe they were honest and going to ship my things to Ca. Small town rip off artist/companies are often protected by (BBB) more so if the companies owner spouse holds a political office. Move your own things if its around 1 -10,000 lbs rent a one way small van and put your car on a car trailer, take it easy, and have fun.
