Irresponsible movers break multiple items after showing up 7 hours late!

First, the movers showed up 7 hours late, but perhaps tardiness is one issue that people moving in DC are used to. The biggest problem is how long and how many broken items the move caused. I was never contacted about the delay, I kept calling and was told over 5 times that the movers are just about to my place (so I couldn't leave and do other things on moving day).

Once the movers showed up they proceeded to take several breaks and move so slowly that my friends and I were worried the move was going to take all night so we loaded a vast amount of my furniture. Each time we brought items to the truck the movers smirked and had quite the attitude the entire time, none looked tired. The took one box at a time (I had packed the boxes to easily stack on a dolly). I have moved several times over the years and it never takes more than 3 hours. Despite living in a 1 bedroom, they took over 5 hours to move all of my stuff (imagine if my friends hadn't helped load). The final total they wanted to charge was over double the quote or what any other mover would have charged. Plus "free" furniture wrapping doesn't include packing tape or other "additions" even though I asked them to use my extra packing tape for the job.

Lastly, after I disputed the amount of hours because of the laziness of the workers they started to drop boxes marked "glass", they unwrapped my mattress from the protective moving coating on the loading dock and there are footsteps on my mattress nowwonder how that happened. Never issued an apology for how many boxes were dropped and the glass items broke, instead I was yelled at on the phone by Jay (one of their dispatchers). I was told I would receive a discount for all of the trouble I went througha whole $20 off the original quote. Do NOT use these guys.
