Ripoff fraudulent billing dishonest

I was contacted by a representive wanting to send me a FREE pager. I was told if I activated it through their company there would be a $34.95 charge, but I had to call and request activation.

I never received the pager, but when I received my Verizon telephone bill there is a $56.60 charge from OAN Services Inc. Clearinghouse agent for Global Airways. I called to complain and told them I had never received a pager (they told me I would not receive on) and I wanted the charge removed. The lady was hateful and said she would cancel the service, but would not remove the charge.

She also played a tape back of my voice answering yes to questions I HAD NOT answered yes to. I told her I had not answered these questions yes that they had taken my voice and put the yes to whatever they chose. She said "you heard the tape and we have you agreeing to the charges."

I called Verizon, told them of the occurance, they had had more complaints and agreed to remove the charges from my telephone bill, but said I may be charged by OAN later.

I did not agree to purchase anything during the entire call.

Please advise me as to what can be done about this. I spoke with my attorney and she advised me to file this report.
