On 10 August I dialed *2 on my cellphone and asked Sprint PCS to cancel my cellular phone service and they didn't, but they also billed me for an additional month of September for services that I was never able to recieve.
I called Sprint PCS Customer Service and asked them why they didn't cancel my phone service and the operator told me that it was up to the discretion of Sprint PCS as to whether or not my phone service was canceled before the end of August and billed for the month of August OR after the beginning of September and billed for the month of September and it was Sprint PCS' decision and theirs alone as to how vicious they wanted to be towards their paying customers.
NOW they are calling me several times per day wanting me to pay the account balance *in full* for as many months as they think they can get away with knowing that I no longer am in possession of the cell phone that account was in service for.
