Aka Scotchgard Protection, Aka Consumer Warranty Service Center RIPOFF Stainsafe Does Not Honor Legitimate Warranty Claims

I purchased a wallaway sofa and loveseat from Levitz in December and was sold the extended warranty offered by Stainsafe. What a joke that turned out to be. I initiated a claim for a structural problem with my sofa July 25 and I was told that the manufacturer would have to resolve this problem because it was within one year of the purchase date.

Apparently math is not there strong point. I contacted them again in August and told them that it was in fact a year and a half past the date of purchase and should be covered by the extended warranty. They sent me an e-mail telling them that because it was now August and the problem happened in July, it was past the 5 day window that they allow and it would not be covered.

Please remember that I reported the problem in July when it occured, because they couldn't seem to grasp that.
We have tried numerous times to resolve this first issue, but have not been able to.

On September 5, we noticed a problem with the reclining mechanism on the same sofa and I immediately reported it by fax on the form they provided me. As of September 11, they had still not contacted me, so I faxed them again. I have not heard anything as of yet.
I am going to give them 5 more days and then I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau online. If anyone else is having a problem with this company, I strongly suggest that you do the same. If that doesn't help, I am going to take legal action.
