Stainsafe companies warranty ripoffs consumer fraud paid for a furniture warranty wanted me to pay for replacement sofa $1255

I paid for a furniture warranty with Stainsafe Companies, that was supposed to repair damages/or replace furniture if needed. They had a technican come out to my house and take pictures of my leather sofa. The technican said that my leather sofa needed to be replaced and could not be repaired. I paid almost $200 for the warranty.

Stainsafe told me that I had to find a sofa with the companies they suggested. I gave them a few choices. The cheapest sofa replacemnt price came out to be $1779. I only paid $524.00 for the leather sofa I already had.

Stainsafe said they would only pay the $524.00 and I would have to pay the difference of $1225, which is a rippoff right there! Why should I pay for a replacement sofa that they are getting from the manufacturer below cost! They told me my other option was, that they would either send me a check for $120.00 for the value of my current sofa. They also told me that since I have relocated, I could not order the sofa from the original furniture store from another state which lived, because shipping was $300.00 and they were not going to pay for it.

I started my claim in Feb and as of July this is how long it them to find a price on a sofa that I should've had replaced by them according to the warranty. The warranty states that they will replace your sofa! I should not have to pay anything! They are trying to make themselves rich and the manufacturers!

I will never do business with them again and will tell everyone that I know not to do business with them because they do not stand behind their warranties. It seems all of their sofa replacements are well over what you might have paid. If I would have known better I would not have purhcase their warranty at all!
