Ripoff

I became a subscriber of Dish Network and all was fine until I decided to move. The place I am moving to will not be able to get the satellite signal so I need to cancel my account. You would think they would be understanding. Who wants to pay for a service that they won't be able to use.

The first time I called I talked to a rude lady who was very hard to understand. So I decided to call back a second time and explained my situation to another lady who said that I will need to pay a 240 fee for cancelling my contract, so I said that I will keep it so I can see if I can get some one to take my contract over.

I asked about moving and getting it hooked up at another location, they will do this for free if I sign up for another year contract (yeah right) and give them permission to personally rob my bank account ever month. Or they charge 100 to hook it up. Then I decided to downgrade it because I really am tired of giving them money and that cost 5 dollars, then she asked why and I said I wanted to spend less money every month. Do you believe she asked me I wanted to spend 7 dollars more than I was before the downgrade for HBO. I am literally pissed off at that point.

I get off the phone after that still stuck with this. So I decided to send an email and talk to someone else. I explained I am moving and can't get a signal and would they let me out of the contracy without making me pay a fee. (I bought the receivers) I told them that I have 3 children and I can't afford the money. They wrote me a letter saying they can't.

I am writing so anyone who is considering this company, please don't. It rains and there is no signal. The customer service people are rude and they could be understanding that things happen. That is all. Thanks for letting me vent.
