BRIDGEVINE is putting ads online that make it look like they are the post office. There is fine print that says they are not. They try to make it look like they are the USPS for online address changes.
I did not read the fine print and that is my fault. But I want to warn consumers that you DO NOT need their services at $4.95.
Moving is stressful. I just wanted to tear through the process of submitting the address change and when it came to the $4.95 charge I thought is was strange but just to get in done I allowed it.
I should of looked more closely at what I was doing so my bank says there is nothing I can do about it. They also reccommend reporting the credit card number I used as stolen (identity theft) as there is no telling what they will do with it later. I have taken care of that so at least I don't have to worry about illegal charges to my account in the future as other usacomplaints.com complaints have documented against Bridgevine.
Since there are no other posts that tell of this ripoff, I wanted to let the online community that THEY ARE NOT THE POST OFFICE. You can do an online address change with the USPS for only $1.00 and it is very convenient.
By the way, there is no contact information on the web site and emails come back as undeliverable. The name of the web site is MyChangeAddress. Do not use it. You don't need it and it may result in the theft of your identity and unauthorized charges to your credit/debit card.
