Santa Set Nightmare working for Noe

Shops, Products, Services

I am so excited for the holidays and that I AM NOT going to be working for Noerr Programs or any "Santa Set" overcharging for photos, working twice as long as I was promised as a Manager, and getting ripped off in pay.

Last year I did work for Noerr and was promised a real fun time as I enjoyed photography and working with children. It was a nightmare and I had no real Christmas to enjoy because I worked 3 times the hours I was promised I would need to work. My Regional manner met me for my interview not very professionally dressed, had wet hair and no makeup and missing teeth. I was dressed in a suit and jacket, so it was a little akward. Should have been a red flag, right? I proceeded with the possibility of being a Set manager and was offered the fun job for the holiday season of which I accepted. While at first, it all sounded very good and honorable, from the very first time I met other staff at their so called training (or lack thereof), I began to feel I had made a mistake. But I had a commitment to keep and so I moved forward to do the very best I could for my Santa Set and for the kids who would soon bustle to the Mall to visit. I quickly hired the appropriate employees and we had 2 solid Santa's and we were ready for the Santa season. Ready for the worst Christmas of my life that is.

I do not feel the Noerr program was truthful in the way you hired employees, the pay, how much time was needed to set hours, especially my own, the break room criteria, nightly reporting at the Mall which meant you had to be escorted to your car way after hours and so much more. I agree with the other posters about everything they said. Every last comment. They do speak the truth and when I saw this, I just knew I had to comment even though I've tried to block the experience out of my mind as it was horrific.in fact, I don't care if I even go into the Mall this holiday season.

After I was told my standard hours and also doing all I could when we were slow as they put it to keep up with their day to day goals which were incredibly high for the economy and for that Mall, I honestly did everything I could to run a tight and smooth ship. But when "the numbers" were down, I was forced to come into work, let part time staff leave (some left for good) and was told I was the only one who could "sell, sell, sell". This meant I ended up being there almost every day. We even had to do 2 weeks ahead with our schedule, and as I tried to take off for my birthday, I was told that they couldn't believe I could do such a thing and should come in now!!! Oh yea, like many others I have heard from... I was also promised a Bonus of which I never got even though I stuck it out and was there right up to that illustrious Christmas Eve Rush until about 10:30pm, yikes. I'd still be there if I hadn't cut the line per the authority of the Mall security of which I don't think Noerr liked that. So I ended up making less than minimum wage and I was supposed to be the Set Manager. I absolutely did not make the money promised, the bonus, or receive any real support. When writing my letter for them to explain, I got NO response and to this day, they won't tell me the reason I did not get a bonus.

Noerr regional manager only called to see if we were at "goal" and we had to call and run hourly tapes many times a day, push the photos to the point of humiliation, and it was all about the $ and how. Certainly no one could take their own photo or we had to do all we could short of standing in front of Santa so they couldn't take a photo while pressuring them to buy Santa's Favorite package, of course you couldn't just buy 1 photo this year as in previous years. Oh no, you had to pay about $24 for 2 cheap sheets of photos and everyone complained that the prices were so much higher than in years previous. So if the economy was on the slow side, it appears Noerr stuck it to everyone in ALL the Malls by raising their prices.

I've never written anything like this, except to the company itself but boy I gotta admit, this feels good. IF anyone reads this, there are 2 major companies that supply Santa's for Malls. But hey, there are many other places that now offer a wonderful Santa experience with Free photos. I hope you find those places and do not spend money for the Santa Mall "experience" because it is really, truly a RIP-off.

So now I'm Happy for the Holidays without NOERR... Rake in your millions and don't pay your loyal Santa Helpers... God will judge you...
