Unauthorized Charges rip-off dishonest ripoffs

Auction Road ripped me off for my last $100! Literally! I called interested in their opportunity to make money and thought it was worth the ten bucks in shipping to find out about the process. Imagine how shocked I was to find they had also charged me an additional $89 membership fee.

When I protested, the company offered to replay me the conversation by appointment. Of course, they did not keep their appointment, so I pestered them until they complied. He playes me a 20 second excerpt of a 4 minute conversation of which you could not understand alot of what the telemarketer is saying. He was talking fast with his words slurred together. He also had an accent.

I explained to him I was not aware that I would be charged that amount and would not have agreed to it since my accout balance is so low. He recommends that I take advantage of the 30 day money back guarantee. When the telemarketer mentioned that in his pitch, he did not say anything about the stipulations of the "guarantee", I told him it was considered false representation, and I would not be bound to it.

I asked him what I was supposed to sell on ebay since I didn't have any products, I was not about to order anything from auction road to sell. "you don't have to sell anything! I just need proof that you tried to sell an article!" he said, still refusing to refund any money. After that I began citing articles that I had printed out from this web site regarding other incidents of unauthorized use of credit cards, receiving payment and refusing to ship products, etc. I also brought up their review on the Better Business Bureau website.

After many references to theese articles, I told him that either he would refund my money, or I would take it as far as it needs to go. He finally agreed to a refund, undercondition that I return the info. NO PROBLEM! I put it in the mail yesterday with delivery confirmation. I should receive my refund 7-10 business days after they recieve it.

If it weren't for the other people contributing to this web site, I may have never got my money back! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!
