Playing games with unemployment benefits

My wife and I recently had to file for unemployment and we keep getting the run around one day we are getting a specific amount and they next day oh you never filed your claim. I don't understand why the state of NH plays games with people's lives like this. If I didn't need the money I wouldn't claim and if I have no money don't they think that we are smart enough to claim. NH has been having a lot of problems with their computer system, don't know why and I don't care. I just want my benefits that are do to me.
