Luminox Watches
Poor Customer Service, Lousy Build Quality, Useless Warranty

Shops, Products, Services

Beware! I purchased a 1837 Luminux and one day after 4 months I looked down and noticed the crown was missing. I set the watch when I purchased it and never touched it again. The crown simply fell out. Understanding that these watches are touted for their reliability, I fully expected Luminox to repair the defect under warranty. Well, I was directed to send the watch in with $10 to their "service center" which turns out to a third party watch repair business called "Saltzmans" in Rhode Island. When I called them and explained my problem they simply said to send the watch in with $10 and they'd take a look at it. A week later I received an "estimate" from them amounting to $57.95. I called the USA Luminox corporate headquarters in California and was told that my problem was not covered under warranty. They refused to stand by their product. Tough luck. So, if you purchase a Luminox watch and it starts to fall apart for no reason as mine did, be aware that you will receive no satisfaction from a company that supposedly prides itself in it's build quality. Shame on you Barry Cohen!
