"student" earning "points" sold me a magazine subscriptiion. I have called and "someone has your case" now it is not the right number! And no email or fax to contact them!

On January 16 a male "student" named Brian Brown approached me in my yard stating he was selling magazine subscritions to earn "points" so he could further his education.initially I was vey hesitant but the man kept following me around telling me how important this was to his future and he was so close would I please just look. I finally gave in and choose one of the cheapest things I could find to order. It was Country Weekly for the amount of $60.00 that I wrote a check for. The check was cashed and after about 6 weeks I called and they told me they would look into why I hadn't recieved my magazine. I called again in another 6 weeks they appologized and said there was a person assigned to my "case". I have since called and first recieved a recording and today it is someone's private number.
